Measure the three-phase motor with a multimeter: adjust the multimeter to Ω×1for resistance test and judgment. Operation 2 is as follows:

(1) Measure whether the motor leaks electricity. Measure the resistance between the three wires and the shell respectively (the contact pin and the shell ensure reliable contact). If the resistance is infinite, the winding coil is well insulated. On the contrary, the motor leaks electricity.

(2) Measure whether the motor winding coil is open. Three lines are measured in pairs. If the resistance value of one phase is infinite, at least one winding coil is disconnected.

(3) Measure whether the motor coil turns are short-circuited. Three lines are measured in pairs. If the resistance values measured three times are the same, then the motor is good, and it can be determined that the motor is a three-phase motor.

(4) If the measured three resistance values are R 1, R2 and R3, and r 1 = R2+R3, the motor is in good condition, and it can be determined that the motor is a single-phase motor, and at the same time, the main and secondary windings and the center tap of the single-phase motor can be determined. If the measured result is not consistent with the situation, or the measured value is 0, the coil turns are short-circuited, that is, the motor is broken.
