What caused the collapse of Yibin Mountain?

At about 10: 55 on the morning of August 8, a landslide occurred in the middle section from Nanguang Viaduct to Yaojiazui, Yiwei Road, Nanguang Town, Xuzhou District, Yibin, Sichuan, causing three minor injuries and interrupting the road. Please make a detour in Changning County, Jiang 'an County and Gongxian County. It is reported that three injured people have been taken to hospital for treatment. At present, the traffic police detachment and Nanguang Town have carried out traffic control on the road about 150 meters away from the landslide, and vehicles and pedestrians are strictly prohibited.

There are two common inducing factors of mountain collapse: natural factors include earthquake, rainfall and snowmelt, scouring and soaking of surface water, and constant erosion of slope toe by surface water such as rivers. In addition, it can also induce tsunami, storm surge and freeze-thaw; Human factors are mainly caused by unreasonable human engineering activities, such as over-exploitation and cutting down vegetation.

There may be some signs before the mountain collapses:

2. There are transverse and longitudinal radial cracks in the front of the landslide, which reflects that the landslide has been pushed forward and has entered a state of imminent sliding;

3. At the toe of the front slope of the landslide, the soil is uplifted, which is an obvious phenomenon of landslide pushing forward. The sound of rock breaking or being squeezed by shear;

4. Small-scale collapse and relaxation of rocks around the landslide. The cracks at the trailing edge of the landslide expand rapidly, and hot air or cold air gushes out from the cracks.
