How to distinguish oxygen-free copper rod

The oxygen content and appearance of copper bars are different due to the different production processes. When the oxygen content is lower than 10ppm, the copper rod produced by up-drawing method is called oxygen-free copper rod. The copper rod produced by continuous casting is hot rolled under protective conditions, and the oxygen content is in the range of 200-500ppm, but sometimes it is as high as 700ppm or more. Generally speaking, the copper produced by this method has a bright appearance and is sometimes called a polished rod.

Oxygen-free copper rods also have imported equipment and domestic equipment, but at present, imported products have no obvious advantages. There is little difference after the copper rod products come out. As long as the copper plate is well selected and the production control is relatively stable, domestic equipment can also produce copper bars with a tensile strength of 0.05. The imported equipment is generally Otto Kunpu, Finland, and the best domestic equipment should be Shanghai Navy Factory, which has the longest production time and reliable quality.

There are mainly two kinds of imported equipment for hypoxic rods in the world, one is SOUTHWIRE equipment from the United States, the domestic manufacturers are Nanjing Huaxin and Jiangxi Copper, and the other is CONTIROD equipment from Germany. Domestic manufacturers are Changzhou Jinyuan and Tianjin Dayun.

Anaerobic rods and hypoxic rods are easy to distinguish in oxygen content. Oxygen-free copper is below 10-20 PPM, but at present, some manufacturers can only achieve below 50 PPM. The low oxygen copper rod is 200-400 PPM, and the good rod is generally controlled at about 250 PPM. Generally, the anaerobic rod is pulled up, and the hypoxic rod is continuously cast and rolled. Relatively speaking, the hypoxic rod is more suitable for the performance of enameled wire. Rebound angle and winding performance. However, the hypoxic rod is relatively harsh on the drawing conditions. If the drawing conditions are not good, ordinary anaerobic rods can be drawn, and good anaerobic rods will break. However, if the same rod is put under good stretching conditions, the hypoxic rod may be stretched to double zero five, while the ordinary anaerobic rod can only be stretched to 0. 1 at most. Of course, the thinnest kind, such as double zero two, depends on imports.

Audio lines generally like to use oxygen-free rods, which is related to the fact that oxygen-free rods are single crystal copper and oxygen-free rods are polycrystalline copper.
