Shanghai has several farms in Dafeng.

Three. Shanghai Dafeng Farm is located in the central area of Dafeng District, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. Shanghai has built three farms here to house educated youth and detain reeducation-through-labor personnel. At the peak, there are 80,000 educated youths who supply Shanghai with grain and oil every year. It is one of the three "enclaves" in Shanghai. They are Shanghai Farm, Haifeng Farm and Chuandong Farm, with a total area of about 300 square kilometers, equivalent to 5 Xuhui District, 15 Huangpu District.
