Recently, an expert seminar on school-running strategy of Shenzhen No.2 Senior Middle School was held. Shenzhen No.2 Senior High School, which is under construction, will officially open in September this year. The first batch of planned enrollment 12 classes, with about 600 new students.

Shenzhen No.2 Senior High School is the last boarding high school directly under the Municipal Education Bureau, which is the key construction project of the municipal party committee and municipal government in 2007. The school was originally planned to be named "No.4 Senior High School" (according to the original plan, Shenzhen Senior High School is now the "No.1 Senior High School", the Municipal Foreign Language School Senior High School is the "No.2 Senior High School" and the Municipal Jiaoyuan Middle School is the "No.3 Senior High School"). After research by the Municipal Education Bureau, it was decided that the senior middle school of the Municipal Foreign Language School and the senior middle school of the Municipal Jiaoyuan Middle School would not be renamed because of their historical school names.

The school is located in Xili Liu Xian Cave, Nanshan District, adjacent to Shenzhen University Town. The total investment is 654.38+95.57 million yuan, and the construction scale is 3000 degrees in 60 classes, covering an area of/kloc-0.08 million square meters, with a total construction area of 64,800 square meters. The school has a high-level national art activity center for primary and secondary schools, a gymnasium that can accommodate 3,000 people, a 50-meter standard swimming pool, a 400-meter eight-track standard track and field, a football field, a dozen volleyball courts and tennis courts, and four student dormitories with more than 3,000 beds. At present, the school infrastructure project is progressing smoothly, the student dormitory has been basically completed, the teaching building and gymnasium have entered the stage of exterior wall and interior decoration, and supporting facilities such as sports ground are under construction. The main project is expected to be completed and delivered by the end of June.

The main members of the management of the school in advance are selected by the Municipal Education Bureau from outstanding cadres of famous schools such as Shenzhen Experimental School and Shenzhen Senior Middle School. They are in their prime of life and have rich experience in education, teaching and management of large schools. While openly recruiting outstanding teachers for the whole country, the Municipal Education Bureau will also transfer a number of high school backbone teachers from municipal schools to enrich and strengthen the school teaching staff.
