What is the working principle and application of EDM piercer?

Electric spark puncher is also called electric spark puncher, electric spark puncher and electric spark small hole discharger. Its working principle is to use a thin metal copper tube (called electrode wire) moving vertically and continuously as an electrode to carry out pulse spark discharge to remove metal from the workpiece. Different from WEDM and molding machine, the electrode of its electric pulse is a hollow copper rod, and the medium passes through the fine hole in the middle of the copper rod hole to cool and discharge chips.

The discharge between the electrode and the metal causes the metal to corrode at high temperature to achieve the purpose of perforation, which is used to process the fine holes of superhard steel, cemented carbide, copper, aluminum and any conductive substance. Small holes with a minimum of 0.0 15mm can be machined, and small holes with taper can also be machined. Widely used in precision die processing, it is generally used as supporting equipment for WEDM machine tools, such as threading holes, chemical fiber spinnerets, spinnerets, filter plates, sieve plate group holes, engine blades, cylinder cooling holes, hydraulic and pneumatic valve body oil passages and air passages.
