But I still want to go to the University of Pennsylvania for an undergraduate course (Wharton is the best).

First, the freshman year simulated the cruel workplace.

There is a compulsory course called Management 100 in the first semester of Wharton's freshman year. In this course, students are divided into 10 groups to do consulting projects for local small businesses in Philadelphia. During the semester, you have to report the progress of the project three times. At the end of the semester, you should make a concluding speech for your clients. Finally, teachers, teaching assistants and clients will grade your speeches, classroom lectures and project performance.

Not only that, but part of my performance depends on my teammates' evaluation of me. Because grades are curved (that is, only a fixed proportion of students in each class can get an A), giving others a high evaluation means that their chances of getting an A will be affected to some extent. This has caused a kind of interest relationship in which competition and cooperation coexist among students. Therefore, every year, we will hear some interesting stories arising from this complex interest relationship, such as cliques, mutual understanding, private transactions and so on.

Second, the course is flexible and can be chosen at will.

Business schools need to take 36 courses in four years, with only a dozen required courses, and many required courses are still two out of three. You only need to take four courses in each major to get a degree, although you can take more courses. So everyone has many choices, whether they want to be a broad generalist or want to do in-depth research and become a professional. Many students also take this opportunity to get a second degree in the College of Arts and Sciences or Polytechnic.

Third, finding a job is the first task.

Students of all grades are busy attending job fairs and conducting campus interviews.

As soon as freshmen enter school, students can get in touch with various professional societies, such as financial societies, marketing societies, consulting societies and so on. These societies will hold many activities to introduce freshmen in different industries, such as inviting alumni or seniors who work in this industry to give lectures, revising resumes for everyone, conducting mock interviews and so on.

Therefore, most Wharton students have been exposed to all kinds of skills needed for recruitment very early, and they have worked tirelessly to accumulate highlights for their resumes. Because everyone does this, there is also a lot of peer pressure. In line with the principle that freshmen can find internships, sophomores can find good internships, juniors can find dream internships, and seniors can get rewards from dream companies, many students began to practice hard in their freshman year. Because of more experience, Wharton's classmates often appear more mature and professional than their peers.
