New techniques and methods of sericulture

New techniques and methods of sericulture: preparation, incubation, feeding and cleaning.

1, preparation work

Be sure to prepare a clean and odorless carton before raising silkworms, and then tie some small holes in the carton to facilitate ventilation.

Step 2 hatch

Silkworm eggs are placed in a paper box, and the incubation time is generally about 1 1 day at the temperature of 2 1-29 degrees Celsius.

Step 3 feed

(1) When the silkworm baby is about to hatch, you can put a proper amount of fresh mulberry leaves in the carton for the silkworm baby to eat.

(2) When the silkworm is in the young silkworm stage, it can choose to feed fresh mulberry leaves, and when it is in the big silkworm stage, it can feed ordinary mulberry leaves.

(3) Mulberry leaves must be carefully checked before feeding, and the diseased leaves, moldy leaves and insect leaves should be picked out. At the same time, there should be no water on the mulberry leaves, otherwise the silkworms will easily have diarrhea after eating.

Step 4: Clean

Regularly take out the old mulberry leaves in the carton, replace them with fresh mulberry leaves, and clean up the silkworm excrement in the carton.

Matters needing attention in sericulture

When raising silkworms, the temperature should be appropriate, and the room temperature should be kept between 20-30℃. Too high or too low will affect their activities. Fresh and tender mulberry leaves are mainly used for feeding and can be picked on convenient days. If it is inconvenient, you can put it in the refrigerator 1-3 days, and the moisture on the mulberry leaves must be dried.

We need to take some preventive measures. If you don't do a good job of fencing, silkworm babies can easily become a dish for poultry such as chickens, ducks and geese. We need to pay special attention if someone keeps such poultry around the site. If necessary, we can arrange special guards. Once we find poultry approaching, we need to drive them away in time.
