I used to be a clothing technology teacher, cashier and self-employed. The seemingly rich experience also contains all kinds of sadness and helplessness. 1998 I was laid off because of enterprise restructuring. In order to take care of my young son, I resolutely gave up good employment opportunities and opened a grocery store near the community. This is convenient for taking care of children and finding a job. Life is stable for the time being, but I often wonder if my life will go on like this. I am not reconciled. During this period, I obtained a diploma in community management from RTVU and a certificate of Shanghai Social Worker Level 4. Maybe this is an opportunity. By chance, I learned that Qingpu Workstation of Shanghai Ziqiang Service Corporation was recruiting anti-drug social workers. I signed up and successfully passed the written test and interview. In June 2008, I joined the anti-drug social worker team from the perspective of social work profession and became an anti-drug social worker.

In my many years of career, I always remember the words of the four-level training teacher: if teachers are engineers of the human soul, then social workers are engineers of building a harmonious society. I am well aware of my responsibilities and the importance of my work. Usually, like every anti-drug social worker, I always accept and respect every client with the service concept of social workers, and often discuss the assistance and education work with village neighborhood committees, police officers and other relevant personnel, and seriously deal with every problem encountered by the client, because I know that as an engineer in a harmonious society, I am faced with not only the client's own problems, but also a family crisis. If I don't handle it well, it will even become a society. I hope that through my own efforts, the families of the parties can face them squarely and give them a loving environment, because "home is the first stop for their recovery." Only the success of the first stop can make them better integrate into society. Every time my partner has family problems, they will come to me, and sometimes they will come to tell me when they are at home. I will also take the trouble to listen to them and do a good job of communication and coordination while comforting them. Sometimes my son will tease me and say, mom, you can be "gold".

Many customers want to make progress and live a normal life through their own efforts. While supporting and encouraging them, I will also tap their own advantages, provide them with relevant employment and training information, and accompany them to the employment center for job hunting. When the interests of customers are infringed, I will try my best to fight for them. The client was forced to give up drugs because he accidentally caught drugs while making friends, and was later transferred to reeducation through labor. At that time, his hukou was moved after reeducation through labor, so his name was not on the small hukou book, and he became a "black household". After several repeated reeducation through labor and compulsory warnings, even the little boy couldn't figure out where his hukou was. At that time, the village was counting accounts, and the town could be guaranteed. If you don't have a hukou, you can't enjoy it, but it involves the issue of providing for the elderly in the future. After learning about this situation, I helped to inquire about the materials needed to implement the hukou, found the local police station, and personally went to the archives of the Shanghai reeducation-through-labor bureau to get the proof materials. When Xiao's name appeared in the household registration book again, his confidence doubled. Although there are some twists and turns in the process, I firmly believe that my efforts will make customers aware of my intentions.

Because we anti-drug social workers contact different people, and our work is also a high-risk job, but as anti-drug social workers, we don't think so much. We all want to help those who have made mistakes and been hurt through practical actions, so that they can feel the warmth of society, struggle out of pain, face everything confidently and truly return to society. This is the belief of social workers. Although social work is not a high-tech occupation, we live a full and happy life every day at work. Sometimes money is important, but it is not enough without spiritual support. The greatest wealth of social workers is that we have such a group of special friends, we can witness their little growth, we have saved individuals in trouble and families facing crisis, and we have contributed to social harmony ... These are wealth that cannot be measured by money, and they are also the greatest pride of our social workers.
