Extended information Sanya Maternal and Child Health Hospital was founded in 1952, formerly known as Yaxian Maternal and Child Health Station. 1984 was renamed Sanya Maternal and Child Health Hospital from the county seat, and 1995 was upgraded to a prefecture-level maternal and child health hospital. In 2007, the brands of "Sanya Women and Children Hospital" and "Teaching Hospital of Hainan Medical College" were added.
