Dahua Machinery Factory became the first enterprise in East China to produce diesel engines at that time.

1950 single cylinder low speed 15438+084 diesel engine was successfully trial-produced, and 195 1 year low speed 40 horsepower diesel engine was successfully trial-produced. At the same time, three diesel pile drivers of 250kg, 600kg and 1200kg were designed and produced. 1952, Wantong Iron Works, Huaxin Tool Works and Guoguang Copper Wire Works merged to form Changwei Industrial Company Machinery Factory. In the autumn of the same year, Dahua Machinery Factory moved from Fangzi to Weifang, and merged with Changwei Industrial Company Machinery Factory to form "Dahua Machinery Factory", which belongs to Shandong Provincial Industry Department. After that, the joint venture iron works of the company and the internship factories of East China Second Institute of Technology merged one after another. 1In August, 953, Dahua Machinery Factory was renamed Weifang Diesel Engine Factory, which was under the Ministry of the First Machinery Industry of China. According to the annual output of 100 diesel engines /7000 horsepower, the state has invested in expansion and reconstruction.

From 65438 to 0954, Weifang Diesel Engine Factory successively introduced more than 30 sets of important equipment such as Swiss coordinate boring machine, Czech radial drilling machine, crankshaft grinder, GDR gear grinder and camshaft grinder, and completed the transformation in two years with an investment of 2.69 million yuan, which rapidly expanded the production scale and capacity. At the same time, the enterprise also successfully trial-produced 6 108 high-speed diesel engine and 6 160 medium-speed diesel engine, and successively developed 6 160 24 kW, 40 kW and 84 kW mobile diesel generator sets, marine units and 135 HP gas engines. The development and commissioning of 6 160 medium-speed diesel engine is a milestone in the history of enterprise development. Since then, Weifang Diesel Engine Factory has embarked on the road of diesel engine production specialization.
