Brief introduction of Suzhou Industrial Park Vocational and Technical College

Suzhou Industrial Park Vocational and Technical College is a new higher vocational and technical college proposed by Singapore Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong and officially approved by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government.

1997 12 Jiangsu provincial education commission approved the establishment of Suzhou industrial park vocational and technical training college, which mainly undertakes the training of non-academic one-year senior technical and technical personnel of foreign-invested enterprises in Suzhou industrial park. 1September 1999, the Jiangsu provincial government approved the establishment of Suzhou Industrial Park Vocational and Technical College to pilot higher vocational education at the junior college level. In March, 20001year, the college was designated by the Ministry of Education as a national vocational skills training demonstration unit for vocational education teachers. In May, 20001year, Suzhou Industrial Park Vocational and Technical College was formally established after being reviewed and approved by the Jiangsu Provincial College Establishment Committee and reported to the Jiangsu Provincial Government for approval.

The full-time teachers of the college are all recruited for the whole country and have received professional training in Singapore and other countries. At present, there are specialties such as mechatronics, precision machining, mold design and manufacturing, industrial electronics, modern communication engineering, computer network technology, microelectronics manufacturing technology, modern logistics technology, enterprise management, etc., with 2600 full-time students and a construction area of about 50,000 square meters.

At present, the college has three campuses:

Headquarters: Headquarters Park is located in Suwan Road, Suzhou Industrial Park, at the core of the park, adjacent to multinational companies such as Hitachi, Xudian, L 'Oreal and Auchan. Founded in 1998, it is the management center of the college. It is also home to the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Precision Engineering, the Department of Art, the Department of Public Science and the College of Continuing Education.

North Campus: The North Campus is located in Loufeng High-tech Industrial Zone, Suzhou Industrial Park, and was established in May 2004. At present, the major departments are electronic engineering department and information engineering department.

South Campus: South Campus is located in Dushu Lake Higher Education Park of Suzhou Industrial Park, which was established in April 2006. At present, the main departments are the Department of Business Administration, the Department of Foreign Languages and the Department of Architectural Engineering.
