In June, 2005, with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the Shandong Provincial People's Government, Shandong Normal University and Inspur Group jointly established Lishan College of Shandong Normal University, with its school site in Shandong Normal University. 2011February, Shandong Normal University signed a cooperation agreement with Shandong Luxi Real Estate Co., Ltd. and Qingzhou Municipal Government of Weifang City to establish Lishan College.

On September 20 13, Lishan College of Shandong Normal University moved to Qingzhou, Weifang. 2065438+June 2009, the Ministry of Education agreed to transform Lishan College of Shandong Normal University into Weifang Institute of Technology, and at the same time cancelled the establishment of Lishan College of Shandong Normal University.

The school has a main campus (Qingzhou) and a central campus (Weifang), with a total area of 1.600 mu and a planned construction area of 700,000 square meters.
