In those days, we were very idle and ate well; But because the barracks have just been renovated, there are still some finishing touches to be done; So the leaders of the brigade often organize everyone to participate in labor, such as painting walls, cleaning, clearing weeds around the camp and so on.

03. Recruitment training

At five o'clock in the afternoon, new comrades from Hunan and Jiangxi came to the camp. At this point, all the new comrades are here. The new comrades have just arrived in the army for the first two days, and the situation is very similar to that of the year before last: shaving their heads and cleaning up the house. Most comrades are very cooperative. In our class, Huang Guohua is the only one who makes a scene, laughs and plays for a while. It is worthy of recognition that the internal hygiene of our Class 42 was the first in the whole brigade at that time!

The compound in the camp is very large, which can basically meet the initial training, so our initial training is carried out in the camp. Later, due to the request of the head of the regimental headquarters, we needed a small military parade, so we trained at Jinhua Airport for a period of time.

04. Duohu Town

According to the nearest town in our camp, it is called Duohu, and it takes about half an hour to walk.

There are two things that impressed me the most in many lake towns:

First, there is a technical school in a small town with many lakes, where students are very naughty; Every time I see us, I will make fun of a few words or make some indecent moves; Although we were a little angry at that time, we still insisted on discipline and ignored it.

I remember one night, Wang, the monitor of Class 36, and I went for a walk in Duohu Town. In the meantime, I met several technical school boys, pointing at us and having a provocative taste; Wang's temper is also very bad, and he is about to start a fight; I quickly grabbed him and said there was no fight at all. On the way back to the camp, I pointed to his slippers and said, "Don't talk about fighting today, even running away is a problem for me." ... a few days ago, I was lucky enough to get in touch with Wang and asked him about his temper changes with a smile; He said that he was old and his personality softened a lot.

Second, there is a restaurant and a sewing shop at the intersection of Duohu. The front of this shop is divided into two independent storefronts, but the back is connected, which is a two-story building. The store and the industry are owned by the same person. The boss himself is a simple and honest person, but the proprietress is smart and gentle, and there is a lovely son between them.

Because our clothes are worn out or worn out during training, we often go to sewing shops or restaurants to eat snacks. The proprietress is very warm and polite every time, and everyone will get familiar with it after a long time. And because the proprietress has a beautiful female apprentice, everyone runs more diligently.

1989 1 October 20th is my second birthday in the army. That night, I ordered food in the wife of shop-owner's restaurant, drank wine and talked with,, Pang, Xing Zhijie and Zou Jianmin.
