The school is located in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. It is a higher vocational school organized by the Tangshan Municipal People's Government, the backbone construction unit of the national demonstration vocational college construction plan, the second batch of national demonstration colleges for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, high-level vocational colleges with China characteristics and professional construction plan construction units, the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units, and national defense education characteristic schools.

Tangshan Industrial Vocational and Technical College was established on April 30th, 20001year with the approval of Hebei Provincial People's Government.
