The two names refer to the same airport, and the full name is Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport. Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport is the base airport of China Southern Airlines, the civil airport in eastern Guangdong and one of the three major airports in Guangdong Province.

In 2020, the total land area will be 508 1.7 mu (including off-site 1.25 mu), and a 2,800-meter runway, a 55,000-square-meter terminal building, a 12 boarding bridge and a 2 1 seat platform will be built, with an annual passenger flow of 4.5 million. In 2030, the terminal building will be expanded to 6,543,800 square meters, and the station apron will be expanded to 28, with an annual passenger flow of 8.9 million.

In 2040, the runway will be extended by 400 meters, the flight zone will be upgraded to 4E, the terminal will be expanded to 6,543,800 square meters, the platform will have 45 seats, and the passenger flow will reach 6,543,800+6,000 person-times/year. After 2040, a second runway will be built, with a distance of 760 meters between the center lines of the two runways to meet the requirements of larger and more intensive take-off and landing.
