In 2000, the Nutrition Society of China formulated the recommended caloric intake (RNI) and the maximum tolerable intake (U L) of dietary selenium for China residents at 50 micrograms per day, and formulated the dietary selenium reference intake for different age groups, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
