The number of undergraduates in college entrance examination increased from 83 in 1980 to 359 in 2008. The passing rate of senior high school entrance examination, excellent rate and college entrance examination rate have always been in the leading position in the city. The school has been rated as an "advanced unit of teaching work" in Jiaozuo for many years, and has been commended and rewarded by the county government for many times.

During the period of 1998, the Provincial Department of Education held a field meeting on physical education in primary and secondary schools attended by the directors of local and municipal education bureaus and the principals of provincial key high schools, and the experience of Wuzhi No.1 Middle School was promoted at the meeting. In 2002, the school was designated as the student practice base of Henan Normal University. Every year, leaders and teachers from many high schools in and outside the province 10 exchange and study.

The school was identified as the legal education base for teenagers by the County Political and Legal Committee, the information technology training base for the education system by the County Personnel Bureau, and the training base for key teachers in primary and secondary schools by the County Education Bureau.
