Basic situation of Anchang town

Anchang Town, known as Anzhou in ancient times, is named after Anchang River. Originally Anxian County, it has been designated as Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County. Anchang Town is located at the foot of Da 'an Mountain in the south of Beichuan County, east longitude104 25', north latitude 3138', at the intersection of Chaping River and Subao River, near Chang River in Lin 'an, with zip code of 622750.

The town covers an area of 100 square kilometer, with a population of 49,000 and an urban area of 2.79 square kilometers. Anchang Town is 2km away from Yongchang Town, the new county town of Beichuan, 28km away from Huabian Town, Anxian County, 4 1 km away from Mianyang City and 0/37km away from Chengdu City. Provincial highways Chengdu (Chengdu), Qingdao (Sichuan) and Yong (Xing)' an (county) meet here.

Now it has jurisdiction over 20 village committees including Plantagenet, Dongsheng, Nanfeng, Shuanglong, Gao 'an, Shiti, Jianguo, Lin Bao, Naxi, Qunlian, Shuang Fu, Chuanzhu, Yiquan, Gulou, Vegetables, Beishan, placer gold, Kaimao, Futian and Qing Yu, and 4 neighborhood committees including Jinxia, Shengdeng, Bamboo Forest and Rainbow. Township enterprises include building materials factories and silk factories. Agriculture mainly produces rice, wheat and rapeseed. Trade and tourism are relatively developed.

Anchang Town was originally the seat of Anxian County. In April 2002, with the approval of the State Council, Anxian moved from Anchang Town to Lace Town. Since then, Anchang Town has become the old county seat of Anxian County. After the 5- 12 earthquake, Beichuan county decided to rebuild in different places. On February 1 day, 2009, the Ministry of Civil Affairs officially approved Anchang Town, Yong 'an Town, Changle Village, Hongyan Village, Shunyi Village, Hongqi Village, Wenquan Village and Dongyu Village in Anxian County as Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County, and the resident of Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County People's Government was moved from qushan town to Anchang Town. Since then, Anchang Town has been placed under the jurisdiction of Beichuan County. At the same time, Anchang Town resumed its position as a county resident.
