English majors train teachers who have solid basic knowledge and skills of English language, can skillfully use English language, have extensive cultural knowledge and can carry out English teaching and research in colleges and technical secondary schools. This major mainly offers comprehensive English, phonetics, grammar, listening, oral English, writing, introduction to linguistics, translation theory and practice, British and American literature, English teaching theory and methods, etc.

English major is the first batch of undergraduate majors in our school, with a four-year academic system and a bachelor of arts degree.

There are 36 full-time teachers in this major, including 2 professors, 8 associate professors and 8 lecturers, 23 of whom have master's degrees. With the continuous improvement of teaching facilities and teaching staff, the teaching quality has been greatly improved. Graduates are generally recognized and praised by employers, and the employment rate of previous graduates is 100%. This major trains bilingual compound talents with solid basic knowledge of English and Japanese, extensive professional knowledge and high cultural accomplishment, who can skillfully use English and Japanese to engage in translation, management, foreign trade and business in foreign affairs, economy and trade, culture, science and technology and other departments and enterprises. The main subjects of this major are foreign languages and literature, and the main courses include comprehensive English, business English, listening, oral English, pronunciation, writing, interpretation and translation, foreign trade correspondence, international trade theory, basic Japanese, Japanese conversation, Japanese audio-visual and so on.

This major began to enroll students in 2005, with a four-year academic system and a bachelor of arts degree.

At present, there are 36 English teachers, 9 Japanese teachers and 2 foreign Japanese teachers, including professors, associate professors 12 and lecturers12, among whom 28 have master's degrees. At the same time, it has a set of advanced teaching equipment, which can fully meet the teaching needs. This major mainly trains foreign trade Japanese talents with solid Japanese basic knowledge and foreign trade business knowledge, certain secretarial public relations professional knowledge and computer technology. It mainly offers basic Japanese, Japanese conversation, listening, economic and trade interpretation, translation, writing, business letters, marketing and other courses.

This major lasts for three years. After graduation, students are mainly engaged in translation, trade management and other work in foreign affairs, economy and trade, foreign enterprises and other departments, and can also participate in junior college-level studies.

There are 9 Japanese professional teachers and 2 Japanese foreign teachers, which can fully meet the teaching needs.
