The wooden packing boxes we process are relatively large boxes, so if the wood is relatively small and the tree age is relatively small, it is not suitable for wooden packing boxes. So the first thing to buy is the age of the tree. The thicker the tree, the more suitable it is to make wooden packaging boxes. If the board is narrow, making a big box requires a lot of wood splicing, which is not very suitable.

The second requirement is the wooden material of the wooden packing box. Generally, poplars are suitable, but willows are not. Because our wooden packing boxes are heavy mechanical equipment in every village, when the equipment is heavy, it will crush the boxes, so the bearing capacity is slightly poor. Therefore, when choosing wood, we must choose wood with relatively strong hardness.

Classification of wooden packing boxes: plywood boxes, closed wooden boxes and frame wooden boxes.

Plates can be roughly divided into nine types: density board, particleboard, decorative board, joinery board, plywood, melamine board, laminated board, pine board and formaldehyde-free straw board. However, due to different family requirements, the commonly used boards in the market at present are mainly blockboard, laminated board (finger joint board) and a small amount of melamine board, decorative board (template), density board, particleboard and formaldehyde-free straw board.

1: plywood (finger joint board): also known as plywood. It is common in the market that poplar or Chinese fir is spliced by finger joint and notch joint, which is also called finger joint plate directly.

Specification: Generally, the thickness is 18mm, and there are also 16mm. Environmental protection level: E 1, E0, zero formaldehyde, common for big brands; Small brands also have E2 grade plates.

2. Blockboard: the scientific name of blockboard. There are two veneers bonded and spliced in the middle. It is made of wood strips with the same thickness and different lengths arranged in parallel and closely spliced, and generally has a five-layer structure.

Specification: the thickness is about 1.2CM-2.5CM, the environmental protection level is E 1, E0, and zero formaldehyde brands are common; Small brands also have E2 grade plates.

3. Veneer: also known as veneer and plywood, it is to cut or spin natural wood into thin slices with a thickness of 0.2- 1 mm, and stick them on plywood, fiberboard, particleboard and other substrates after mosaic. This material is a high-grade decorative material with clear texture and natural color.

Specification: generally 2.6-3 mm, environmental protection level: E 1, E2 is common.

4. Particleboard: also known as particle board and bagasse board, it is an artificial board made of wood or other lignocellulosic materials, coated with adhesive and glued under the action of heat and pressure, also known as particle board.

Specification: Particleboard can be divided into three types according to product density: low density (0.25 ~ 0.45g /cm3), medium density (0.55 ~ 0.70g /cm3) and high density (0.75 ~ 1.3g/cm3). There are many specifications of particleboard, the standard thickness is 19mm, and the common thicknesses are 13, 16 and 19mm.

5. Melamine board: the full name is melamine impregnated paper-based wood-based panel market. Paper with different colors or textures is soaked in melamine resin glue, then dried to a certain curing degree, spread on the surface of particleboard, medium density fiberboard or hard fiberboard, and then hot-pressed into decorative boards.

Specification: thickness16-20mm; Environmental protection level: E 1, E2 is common.

6. Density board: also known as fiberboard, is an artificial board or composite board. It is an artificial board made of wood fiber or other plant fiber and urea-formaldehyde resin or other suitable adhesive.

Specification: Generally, the thickness is between 8-25mm, because there will be some differences in different specifications of brands. Environmental protection grade: E 1, E2, E0.

7. Plywood: also known as plywood, commonly known as thin core board in the industry. It is made of three or more layers 1mm thick veneer or thin plate by gluing and hot pressing. Three or more sheets made of logs, which are cut into veneers or squares and then glued with adhesives, and odd-numbered plywood, such as three, five and seven layers.
