I can't help thinking about my future: as a GIS major, how will I face the opportunities and challenges, and what role can I play? Here, in order to relieve our confusion, our school let us use career planning to locate our goals.

Before planning, I seriously asked my classmates and friends to make some comments on our character first. Without hard work, where will there be sweet and pleasant success? Without diligent study, where can we achieve impressive results? Only by giving, can you gain. Since primary school, I have studied step by step under the supervision of teachers and parents. It's been like this for twelve years. Now I am in college, and my awareness of learning comes from myself. My big inertia is exposed. On weekdays, there are always some tiredness and laziness, lack of concentration in study and work, low efficiency and insufficient concentration in attitude. If I don't correct it in time, it will probably lead to my final mediocrity and lifelong regret. I can't help being surprised at the thought of this. But fortunately, now is the golden age of my life, and I still have a chance to improve. Sharp tools make good work. If you want to take Wan Li Road, you must first set your mind. So I made a general plan for my goals and plans for the next six years, so as to urge myself to make steady progress in the unpredictable journey of life from time to time. The following scheme is also my actual experience and feeling.

It is the result of my efforts to study all compulsory courses and elective courses in senior two and strive for all grades. Learning and mastering a computer software, such as photoshop or flash MX, mainly depends on self-study. And actively participate in sports, master a sports skill, such as swimming, strengthen exercise, and provide abundant energy for learning. Take an active part in literary and artistic activities (such as knowledge contests) and practice the accordion once again in primary and junior high schools. Try to pass the computer level 2 and English level 4 exams this year.

By studying the basic theories and knowledge of geographic information system, cartography and remote sensing technology, this major carries out scientific thinking and scientific experiment training in applied basic research and technology development, so that it has good scientific literacy, basic skills in research, design and development of geographic information system and preliminary teaching, research, development and management capabilities, and can engage in scientific research or teaching in scientific research institutions or colleges and universities. Senior GIS professionals who can engage in GIS-related applied research, technology development, production management and administrative management in cities, regions, resources, environment, transportation, population, housing, land, infrastructure, planning management and other fields.

As a graduate, you should acquire the following knowledge and abilities:

1. Master the basic theories and knowledge of mathematics, physics and computer science;

2. Master the basic theories, knowledge and experimental skills of GIS and cartography, as well as the basic principles and methods of GIS technology development;

3. Understand the general principles and methods of geography, resources and environment, urban and rural planning and management, surveying and mapping engineering and other adjacent majors.

4. Understand the national science and technology policies, intellectual property rights, sustainable development strategies and other relevant policies and regulations;

5. Understand the theoretical frontier, application prospect and latest development trend of GIS, as well as the development of GIS industry;
