When she saw the Lucheng District's open recruitment announcement for teachers, she excitedly brought all the relevant materials to the district education bureau and prepared to apply for the position of primary school English teacher. Unexpectedly, after the staff of the Education Bureau looked at her graduation certificate and degree certificate, they shook their heads and said that foreign academic qualifications were not necessary.

Miss Lin asked why not, and the other party replied that it was because she was not a full-time student.

Ms. Lin said that at that time, the staff thought that she was applying for a primary school English teacher position, which required a "full-time undergraduate degree from a general college", and pointed out that her degree certificate did not have the words "full-time" on it. , and therefore does not meet the registration requirements.

In desperation, Ms. Lin called the Overseas Study Service Center of the Ministry of Education. The center staff clearly told her that any academic qualifications issued with a certificate of certification should be equivalent to a full-time undergraduate degree from a general university.

However, when Ms. Lin approached the Lucheng District Education Bureau again, she was still not accepted. The staff of the bureau told Ms. Lin that after the recruitment announcement was released, many "returnees" called for consultation, but they all declined.

However, a leader named Pan from the Political and Engineering Section of the Lucheng District Education Bureau expressed her sympathy for Miss Lin’s experience.
