Golden thorn, Zhemu, also known as Zhesang and Wenzhong Tree, refers to the trunk part of Zheshu, a Moraceae plant, and is a famous tree in the history of China. It has important value, and has the effects of resolving phlegm into blood, clearing liver and improving eyesight. Deciduous shrubs or small trees, up to 8 meters high. Branchlets dark green-brown, smooth and hairless, spiny, 5-35 mm long.
