20 10 July, the Marxism-Leninism Research Association of North China Electric Power University (MMD) firmly established and conscientiously implemented a comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable Scientific Outlook on Development in the great practice of reform, opening up and modernization, and guided college students to cultivate their thoughts and feelings, enrich their spiritual life, improve their moral realm and increase their knowledge and talents in practice. Combined with the characteristics of our school, under the guidance of the Youth League Committee of North China Electric Power University, a summer social practice Gaobeidian detachment with the theme of strengthening social responsibility and preaching Scientific Outlook on Development was established.

I. Introduction to practice

Gaobeidian is an open city approved by the State Council, located in the middle of Hebei Province, in the hinterland of Beijing, Tianjin and Baoding, with a total area of 672 square kilometers and a population of 550,000. It is one of the major cities and counties in the economic circle around Beijing and Tianjin. In recent years, Gaobeidian has actively responded to the call of "Three Years of Great Change" in Hebei Province, and made great achievements in practicing Scientific Outlook on Development, promoting economic development and improving people's livelihood. Nanguan Village is one of the key development support villages in Xincheng, with a population of10.3 million. However, farmers' income is low, and most of the young people go out to work. The main people left in the village are children, women and the elderly.

Second, practical preparation

1. Our team has been highly valued by the Communist Youth League Committee and the general branch teachers of the Youth League Committee, and the team members have shown great enthusiasm and determination for this practical activity.

2. We solicited the opinions of teachers and classmates to make the content of the lecture more detailed and specific, and the form of the lecture more lively.

3. A complete publicity plan has been made. Considering that different people have different understanding of Scientific Outlook on Development, we have formulated several publicity programs to meet the publicity requirements of different people.

4. Consult the theoretical data about Scientific Outlook on Development, understand the new development of Gaobeidian City and Hebei Province under the guidance of Scientific Outlook on Development, and deeply understand the connotation of "three-year great changes" in Hebei Province. Third, the practice schedule

Early in the morning, our group took a photo at the school gate and set off. Everyone is full of expectations for the next trip. After more than an hour's drive, we finally arrived in Gaobeidian city at 9: 00 in the morning, and everyone walked to Century Square, the largest citizen square in Gaobeidian city.

After grouping, we began to split up. Because we are all dressed in uniforms and stand out in the square, many citizens will take the initiative to ask when they see us, and learn that we are here to preach about college students in Scientific Outlook on Development. Many citizens get together spontaneously, watching the materials we sent them, listening to the explanations of the team members, and sometimes discussing with us and expressing their views. In the conversation with them, we found that most people's understanding of Scientific Outlook on Development is still at a relatively simple stage, only knowing that there is Scientific Outlook on Development, but not knowing its profound connotation and the important significance of guiding the development of the whole society.

A family of three with a little boy left a deep impression on us. My mother has been educating the little boy while our team members explained to them. After we left, we found that my aunt was still explaining Scientific Outlook on Development to the little boy. Everyone was very happy. They all said something that Grandpa Deng Xiaoping once said: "Education should start with dolls."

We met an old man while we were having a rest together. We are not so much preaching Scientific Outlook on Development to him as "listening to Grandpa's past stories". The old man is a retired veteran cadre. He has experienced the transformation of China from the old society to the new era, and he has great feelings and a say in Scientific Outlook on Development. The old man knows a lot about China's history and politics, and his speech is very logical. At 6: 30 in the morning, we 10 had breakfast and took a bus to give a lecture on Scientific Outlook on Development in Nanguan Village, Xincheng District, Gaobeidian City, Baoding, Hebei Province. As soon as we arrived at the entrance to the village, we saw the village head meet us at the entrance.

Later, we went to the village head's house to have a talk with the village head. The village chief welcomed us to Nanguan Village to carry out Scientific Outlook on Development publicity activities, and expressed his willingness to provide support and help within his capacity. Then, the village chief introduced us to the basic situation of Nanguan Village. Finally, the village chief told us that we must pay attention to safety when carrying out publicity activities in Scientific Outlook on Development. At the same time, it is best to use popular language when talking with villagers, and it is best to combine it with their production and life. Entrusted by the village chief, we started the Scientific Outlook on Development preaching activity in Nanguan Village.

First of all, we divided the team into two groups according to the introduction and guidance of the village head. Two groups visited nearly 30 families, including some families of party member and ordinary people. The villagers were very welcome and happy to our arrival and received us warmly. We distributed publicity materials to the villagers, and introduced the basic principles of Scientific Outlook on Development, the brilliant achievements made by Hebei Province and Gaobeidian City in Baoding City in practicing Scientific Outlook on Development, and the future development direction to the villagers in common language. At the same time, we also discussed Scientific Outlook on Development's practice in rural areas with the villagers. Villagers have expressed their views, and most people think that Scientific Outlook on Development's publicity and popularization in rural areas is not enough. On the one hand, the villagers' scientific and cultural quality is low, and they can't correctly and comprehensively understand Scientific Outlook on Development's principles. On the other hand, when many township cadres publicize and practice Scientific Outlook on Development, they can't be well combined with the actual situation of rural areas and farmers. Especially in the aspect of "taking Scientific Outlook on Development as a guide and striving to increase farmers' income", the villagers' feelings are not very deep. We try our best to answer and explain the villagers' questions. At the same time, we have also carefully recorded some universal or difficult problems and reflected them to the relevant departments.

At noon 13, we ended the publicity activities in Scientific Outlook on Development. After lunch, go back to the village head's house and say goodbye to him. We expressed our heartfelt thanks to the village chief for his great support and help, and at the same time, we also reflected the records we learned in the publicity activities to the village chief. The village chief was very happy after listening to our introduction. He said, "These situations and problems are difficult for us to grasp in our daily work. On the one hand, the existence of these problems reflects the shortcomings and defects in our previous work, on the other hand, it also provides reference and points out the direction for our future work. " Finally, the village head warmly welcomed the summer social practice team of North China Electric Power University to Nanguan Village to carry out summer social practice activities, and indicated that Nanguan Village was willing to establish the summer social practice base of North China Electric Power University.

Fourth, effectiveness.

1. The team members who participated in the practice studied the basic principles of Scientific Outlook on Development seriously, comprehensively and systematically, and learned about the brilliant achievements and future development direction of Scientific Outlook on Development in Hebei Province and Gaobeidian City of Baoding City. Through practical activities, the team members learned more about the living conditions of urban citizens and farmers, exercised our communication skills, and made us better understand society and public opinion.

2. Through practical activities, many citizens in Gaobeidian City, Baoding and villagers in Nanguan Village have a further understanding of the basic principles of Scientific Outlook on Development, the brilliant achievements made by Hebei Province and Gaobeidian City in practicing Scientific Outlook on Development, and the future development direction. This will help Gaobeidian citizens and villagers in Chengguan Village to better understand the policies of the central and local governments, cooperate with the work of the Party and the government, actively seize development opportunities, and realize the common development of society and individuals.

3. In the process of practice, we have mastered the villagers' real thoughts and reactions to Scientific Outlook on Development in Nanguan Village, and sorted out the problems and fed them back to the head of Chengguan Village, which provides a reference for Chengguan Village to practice Scientific Outlook on Development, formulate policies and strive to increase farmers' income in the future.

4. We contacted the practice site, planned the activities by ourselves, and finally achieved success. Fully exercised our ability of organization, coordination and planning.

Moreover, this practical activity has improved our planning, organization, cooperation and adaptability, which we can't learn only from books.

In preaching to the citizens and villagers, everyone has the same feeling: citizens have a deeper understanding of Scientific Outlook on Development than villagers, and adults have a deeper understanding than children. It's not hard to understand. But we all think that this situation needs to be improved. China has been a big agricultural country since ancient times, with farmers accounting for 70% of the total population. The problems of agriculture, countryside and farmers have always been the key problems that restrict the development of China. To solve the problems concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers, we need to take Scientific Outlook on Development as the guide and solve them through scientific development. Therefore, it is extremely important and necessary to let farmers know about Scientific Outlook on Development and consciously practice Scientific Outlook on Development. Children are the future of the motherland and the hope of the nation. Children in the growing stage can't accurately distinguish various values in society, which may also lead to the formation of children's wrong values and outlook on life. Therefore, we must arm their minds with Scientific Outlook on Development, so that they can have a correct value judgment standard and truly become the hope of the nation.

Many people say that the university is a small society, and stepping into the university is equivalent to stepping into half a society. We are no longer flowers in the ivory tower that can't withstand the wind and rain. Through the tempering of social practice this summer vacation, we deeply realize that social practice is a fortune. Society is a comprehensive university, which can train more people. Only by correctly guiding us to go deep into the society, understand the society, serve the society and devote ourselves to social practice can we find our own shortcomings and create good conditions for going out of school and entering the society in the future. Only in this way can we learn useful things, become talents in practice and grow up in service.
