Brief introduction of Tangshan South Factory

Tangshan South Factory refers to Tangshan Locomotive and Rolling Stock Factory.

Tangshan Locomotive & Rolling Stock Factory is a large state-owned enterprise owned by China North Locomotive & Rolling Stock Industry Group Corporation. Due to historical relocation and other reasons, locals call it "South Factory". It was built in 188 1, and was born with the first railway in China-Tang Xu Railway (built by the British). It is the earliest railway factory in China, and is famous at home and abroad for manufacturing the first steam locomotive "China Rocket" and the first bus "Luanyu Dragon Car" in China.

In June 2006, CNR decided to reorganize the new bus manufacturing business of Tangshan Locomotive and Rolling Stock Factory and Changke Co., Ltd. and set up Tangshan Rail Vehicle Company.

It has successively passed ISO900 1 quality management system, ISO 1400 1 environmental management system, GB/T2800 1 occupational health and safety management system certification and EN 15085-2 international welding system certification.

Relying on the strong support of the Joint Action Plan for Independent Innovation of High-speed Trains in China issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Railways, Industry-University-Research, in combination with the implementation of the National 863 Plan, has actively undertaken two 863 projects and five national science and technology support projects, established the China high-speed train standard system and technical system with independent intellectual property rights, a speed of more than 350 kilometers per hour and strong international competitiveness, and has the independent innovation capability of key technologies such as high-speed EMU system integration, aluminum alloy car bodies, bogies and network control systems.

In order to meet the needs of the modernization of track equipment, the company has built two car body production lines mainly made of aluminum and steel, forming four series of product systems, including high-speed EMU, urban rail vehicle, medium and low-speed ordinary bus and special vehicle. The manufacturing technology platform is universal, the tooling is flexible, the mold is specialized and the technology is advanced and complete. The technology and scale of aluminum alloy car body, assembly production line and debugging and testing line have reached the world-class level.
