Minghua Sugar Warehouse, originally the warehouse of Minghua Sugar Factory, was built in 1924. The structure where the Soap Space Exhibition and Experience Hall is located was originally the production auxiliary area of Shanghai Soap Factory, which was composed of the original medium-pressure hydrolysis building and sewage purification pool. The designer raised the original site between the pools to a height of 7 meters, and the concrete frame of the roof and the planted plants together created a three-dimensional roof garden as a platform for viewing the river. The lower part of the building is connected in series with different pools through steel pipe channels, forming a series of spaces with light and shade conversion, staggered height and turning inside and outside.
