How to apply for a beef cattle slaughtering and processing plant

According to the "Measures for Review of Animal Epidemic Prevention Conditions", applications for beef cattle slaughtering and processing plants must meet the following conditions.

1. Article 11 The location of animal slaughtering and processing sites must meet the following conditions :

(1) More than 500 meters away from drinking water sources, animal farms, breeding communities, and animal markets; more than 3,000 meters away from breeding livestock and poultry farms; more than 200 meters away from animal diagnosis and treatment facilities;

(2) More than 3,000 meters away from animal isolation sites and harmless treatment sites.

2. Article 12 The layout of animal slaughtering and processing sites shall meet the following conditions:

(1) There are walls around the site;

(2) The entrance and exit of the vehicle transporting animals should be equipped with a disinfection pool that is as wide as the door, 4 meters long and 0.3 meters deep;

(3) The production area is separated from the living and office area, and there are isolation facilities;

(4) The unloading area for animals entering the venue has a fixed vehicle disinfection site and is equipped with vehicle cleaning and disinfection equipment.

(5) Animal entrance and animal product exits should be set up separately;

(6) A personnel changing and disinfection room should be set up at the entrance of the slaughtering and processing room;

(7) There are independent quarantine rooms, offices and rest rooms that are suitable for the scale of slaughtering;

(8) There are pens for slaughter, isolation and observation pens for sick animals, and emergency slaughter rooms; processing of raw wool, rawhide, cashmere , bones, and horns, a closed fumigation and disinfection room should also be set up.

3. Article 13 Animal slaughtering and processing sites shall have the following facilities and equipment:

(1) The animal loading and unloading platform shall be equipped with lighting equipment with an illuminance of not less than 300Lx;

(2) The production area has good lighting equipment, and the floor, operating table, walls, and ceiling should be corrosion-resistant, non-moisture-absorbing, and easy to clean;

(3) The slaughterhouse is equipped with a quarantine operating table and illumination Lighting equipment of no less than 500Lx;

(4) Have harmless treatment, sewage and waste treatment facilities and equipment that are suitable for the production scale.

4. Article 14 Animal slaughtering and processing sites shall establish systems for animal entry and animal product exit registration, quarantine declaration, epidemic reporting, disinfection, and harmless treatment.
