Xiangshan County is a county under the jurisdiction of Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China. Located on the coast of the East China Sea, the southern edge of the Yangtze River Delta, the eastern coast of Zhejiang, between Xiangshan Port and Sanmen Bay, surrounded by the sea on three sides, the two ports embrace each other.

Ningbo Metropolitan Area includes Haishu District, jiangdong district, Jiangbei District, zhenhai district, Beilun District and Yinzhou District, collectively referred to as "City Six Districts".

Xiangshan has a long history. According to the textual research of cultural relics unearthed from the prehistoric cultural site in Tashan, ancestors lived here as early as 6000 years ago in the Neolithic Age. During the Spring and Autumn Period, Xiangshan was the state of Yue. Han is the land of Yinxian and Hewlett-Packard (later changed to Zhang 'an).

The early Tang Dynasty belonged to Ninghai and Qixian. In the second year of Tang Shenlong (706), Xiangshan County was established to administer Pengmu Village. Because there are mountains in the north of the village, it is named Xiangshan. The county is named after the mountain and belongs to Taizhou. In the second year of Guangde (764), it was transferred to Mingzhou (renamed Ningbo in Ming Dynasty).

In the first year of the Republic of China, Nantian County was established to govern Fan 'ao. In April of the same year, Nantian County, south of Dongxialing Mountain in Xiangshan Mountain, was moved to Shipu. In the second year, the merger was cancelled, and Nantian also ruled Fan Ao. 1940, Nantian County was abolished and Sanmen County was established, with the jurisdiction of Nantian.

By 1985, the county has jurisdiction over 5 districts, 5 towns and 32 townships. 1May, 1992, the area was withdrawn, the town was expanded and the township was merged, and the county administered 13 towns and 6 townships.
