How to maintain the coffee table in She Yan?

On May 20th, 2006, She Yan's craftsmanship was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. On June 5th, 2007, the Ministry of Culture confirmed Cao Jieming, Shexian County, Anhui Province as the representative inheritor of this cultural heritage project and included it in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects [15- 16].

Peacetime maintenance

When the inkstone is not in use, you can rub some moisturizing oil such as walnut oil and hair oil to keep it shiny, and then put it in a wooden box with a suitable temperature, not in direct sunlight. If you use an inkstone, you can first open the inkstone, gently polish the surface of the inkstone with about 600 sandpaper, and rinse it with water to remove the oil stains on the inkstone. Use cold water when grinding, and don't use colored water such as tea and high-temperature water. After use, the inkstone should be cleaned in time to keep the inkstone clean, and the ink color will be pure and bright during secondary grinding [17].

Most inkstones are rich in ink, but the ink used must be first-class Huizhou ink to avoid rubbing the inkstone surface. When grinding ink, use clear water, the ink body is vertical, gently press, slow first and then fast, and naturally grind dense ink. Wash with clean water after use and dry with soft sponge and soft cloth. When not in use, you can rub it with walnut oil or hair oil (commonly used baby oil abroad) to keep it shiny, and then put it in a wooden box.

This collection was collected by a collector in Anhui for a long time. It was appraised as a collection in the late Qing Dynasty by Mr. Li Shanyuan of Shanghai. It is a famous inkstone in Anhui, with the name of "Liu Cisan" engraved on it. This collection not only has market value, but also has commemorative value for sellers.
