What are the requirements for Irish skilled immigrants?
First of all, there are no skilled immigrants in Ireland. Currently, Ireland only has investment immigrants and entrepreneurial immigrants. I understand that the skills you are referring to are Irish work visas.
There are nine categories of visas related to non-EU citizens who study, work and live in Ireland:
Stamp 0: Conditional short-term residence visa, Persons applying for this visa must be required to stay in Ireland under certain conditions, such as: expatriates from overseas companies; personnel providing special service tasks to Ireland; tourists and business tourists who extend their stay; persons who are sick and need their Family members are staying in Ireland to assist with their recovery, and holders of this visa are not allowed to work or engage in commercial activities in Ireland.
Stamp1: This visa is what we usually call a work visa. It is mainly issued to those who have a work permit, green card permit, spouse/dependent work permit or business permit.
Stamp1A: Mainly issued to accounting students who come to Ireland for full-time training. Except for training, holders of this visa are not allowed to engage in other jobs in Ireland.
Supplement: Two days ago, some students asked about the conditions for applying for Stamp 1A and what materials should be prepared? Generally, the employment company will issue a certificate, as well as an ACCA certificate, a certificate of ACCA study in the school, and the renewal is generally linked to the ACCA exam. Under normal circumstances, after passing all ACCA exams and adding three years of work experience, the visa can be converted into a formal work visa. (Note: Personal situations are different, and visas are not exactly the same)
Stamp2: Student visa, this visa is issued to non-EU personnel studying in legal institutions of higher education in Ireland. With this visa, you can work 20 hours a week work.
Stamp2A: It is also a student visa, but students holding this visa will not be able to engage in any work or business activities in Ireland.
Stamp3: Issued to non-EU spouses or dependents of employment permit holders, non-EEA visitors, financially independent non-EEA retirees, non-EEA religious ministers and religious ministers Visas for group members
Stamp4: Issued to non-EEA dependents of EU citizens, non-EU spouses/partners of Irish citizens, refugees, planned refugees, and family members permitted under the Refugee Act 1996 as amended Reunion of persons, custody of non-EU Irish children’s parents, and persons who have worked in Ireland for more than 5 years.
Stamp5: Permanent residence visa. People who have lived legally in Ireland for at least 8 years can apply. However, time spent studying or seeking asylum in Ireland will not be counted when applying for Stamp 5.
Stamp6: Issued to persons with dual nationality.
About stamp1G Graduation Visa
This visa is the latest visa type introduced in Ireland. This visa supports those who hold a study visa in Ireland to apply for a one-year work visa after graduation. It is different from (Stamp2)S2, those holding stamp1G can work full-time for 40 hours per week within one year. Note: stamp1G is not equivalent to a real work visa. The purpose of this visa is more to give international students one year to find a job, and it is an excessive visa. Those who have graduated from Ireland must apply for a Stamp 1 work permit after holding their graduation visa for one year before they can continue to work in Ireland.
