As the first petrochemical park under closed management in China, Gulei Petrochemical is a busy scene.

At Gulenan Pier 2, the oil transfer arm and the transport ship are busy docking, and they cooperate with each other to complete the ship unloading operation. At the same time, in the production base, in order to ensure the normal operation of the equipment, maintenance personnel are also carefully inspecting.

According to reports, in order to improve the public supporting facilities required for the commissioning of industrial projects, Gulei Port Area now has 18 productive terminal berths, with an annual throughput capacity of up to 34.54 million tons. In addition, the 16.8-kilometer-long Gulei public utility tunnel project has been accepted and put into use; the thermal power plant, the public sewage treatment plant, and the province's largest solid waste site have all been completed and put into use. In the next three years, Gulei Development Zone also plans to invest 48.9 billion yuan to build 20 supporting projects to further enhance the carrying capacity of the park.

Petrochemical industrial parks are usually full of chimneys, but Gulei Petrochemical has subverted everyone's inherent impression. . On the basis of strictly adhering to the bottom line of ecological and environmental protection, Gulei strictly controls the source of project approval, and implements ecological protection red lines, environmental quality bottom lines, and resource utilization in all aspects of site selection, layout, scientific research, etc. of each project to avoid low-quality projects to the greatest extent. Horizontal development and construction have created a new coastal city that is suitable for living and working.

In order to achieve peak carbon neutrality, Gulei Development Zone has strengthened the constraints on pollutant emission intensity indicators and strictly implemented environmental protection standards such as energy consumption, pollutant emissions and resource utilization of major projects such as oil refining, ethylene and aromatics. Indicators must reach the international advanced level, and other projects must reach the domestic advanced level. Two necessary standards. Up to now, the air quality rate of Gulei Development Zone ranks among the top in Zhangzhou City, and the water quality of offshore waters has reached the first-class water quality standard for a long time.
