Lanzhou University of Technology is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning organized by Gansu Provincial People's Government. It is a university jointly established by Gansu Provincial People's Government, Ministry of Education and National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. It is also one of the first high-level universities in Gansu Province to be selected into the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions, the national innovative experimental plan for college students and the outstanding engineer plan of the Ministry of Education.
