Boxing County belongs to Binzhou City, Shandong Province, and is located in the southeast of Binzhou City.

Boxing County has three major water systems: Yellow River, Xiaoqing River and Zhimai River, which are rich in agricultural and sideline products such as wheat, cotton, soybeans, corn, fruits and vegetables. It is the only producing area of Pucao series handicrafts in China and the national export base of wickerwork handicrafts. Wickerwork and Cao Bian were selected into the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List and the Shandong Intangible Cultural Heritage List respectively.

Boxing County is also an important grain and cotton production base and pollution-free vegetable production base in Shandong Province. It was named "Hometown of Straw and Willow Weaving in China" and "Hometown of High-quality Tomatoes in China".
