Mr. Wang Shi, aged 58, was appointed as an independent non-executive director of the Company in April 1997. Mr. Wang is the chairman of Vanke Enterprise Co., Ltd., a domestic listed company, and also serves as an independent non-executive director of Sohu Company, Jianye Real Estate Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Metersbonwe Bang Wei Clothing Co., Ltd. Mr. Wang holds a Bachelor of Science degree from China Lanzhou Railway Institute.

Mr. Yan Yan, aged 5 1, was appointed as an independent non-executive director of the Company in July 2006 and served as the chairman of the Remuneration Committee of the Company.
