How to speak in a job interview
A job seeker applies for an accounting position, and all the conditions are met. She successfully entered the interview. The personnel director of the unit asked many questions and she answered them all. Finally, the supervisor asked, "Why did you quit your job and come to our company?" As soon as this question was raised, I didn't expect her to pour bitterness into the supervisor. She said that the leader of her unit was unreasonable, how she overstated her travel expenses, and she was retaliated by the leader after she mentioned it. These words made the supervisor frown and told her to go back and wait for news. Of course, she will never get an offer from this company again. In fact, the reason why she wants to tell the reasons for these job-hopping may also be to set off her serious and principled work style. But she forgot that these words are not suitable for strangers, especially examiners. The examiner has only a preliminary impression of the applicant and doesn't know the specific story of your original unit. After getting the explanation from the applicant, he may wonder whether the applicant is narrow-minded and has defects in dealing with people. The examiner may even think that he will "do the same thing again" when he arrives at this company. In fact, as long as she puts it another way, instead of blaming others for the job-hopping, it will not bring misunderstanding to the examiner. I learned this lesson myself. When I worked in the factory a few years ago, I was engaged in creation and published many articles. There was a media recruitment in the provincial capital, and I successfully entered the interview. I brought a lot of works with me during the interview. After reading my works, the examiner asked, "You are really diligent in writing so many works, which shows that you have a strong sense of time." I said, "Yes, as soon as my job is vacant, I write a few paragraphs, so my articles are usually short." The examiner smiled, returned the work to me and told me to go home and wait for news. Of course, this application failed. Later, I analyzed the reasons for my dismissal and felt that the examiner misunderstood me. He thought I was writing while working, and when I arrived at my new unit, I would write for myself during office hours. Actually, I work the night shift in that factory, mainly taking care of a program-controlled computer. I have nothing to do all night, so I just read and write articles to kill time. But this will be misunderstood by unsuspecting examiners, who will think that I am selfish and earn my own manuscript fee during working hours. I discussed this problem with a friend who is a personnel manager. My friend said that if he were an examiner, he wouldn't hire me. He said that when he decides to hire a person, besides his resume, it is more important to look at some small details of the applicant during the interview. He often judges whether a person is suitable for the position of the company through the small details between speech and conversation, which is fair to every applicant, because everyone has the same time to show himself. Including what to say and what not to say actually reflects a person's various qualities.
