At present, the Provisional Regulations on Self-study Examination in the State Council is still valid, and the seriousness of laws and regulations must be maintained, which should be strictly implemented by any department and individual. Second, the self-study ability and indomitable quality of self-taught candidates should be highly valued by the social employment department. This ability and quality are the same characteristics that all successful people must have.

According to statistics, the existing self-taught candidates with college education or above have accounted for 29% of all candidates. Self-study exams are flexible and open, with no threshold, and are not restricted by age, occupation, health status and other conditions. The separation of teaching and examination has won a high social reputation. Many self-taught candidates hit a wall again and again and made little progress. They not only learned professional knowledge, but also learned the ability and methods to acquire knowledge, and developed the perseverance and quality to study hard without fear of difficulties and setbacks.

Liu Yueping particularly emphasized that the self-study ability and perseverance of self-taught students to acquire knowledge should be highly valued by the social employment department. This ability and quality are the same qualities that all successful people must possess.

The example of Beijing is a good proof. Today, 88,000 self-taught graduates are active in all walks of life in the capital, and a considerable number of self-taught students have become the backbone of the party, government and military organs, enterprises and institutions in the capital. In addition, the current severe job market is enough for self-taught candidates to change their career concepts, lower their expectations and face employment problems with a realistic and flexible attitude. It must be recognized that this severity is not only on self-taught candidates, but also on ordinary high school students. For example, Shenzhen Huawei Company has been a big enrollment in Tsinghua of Peking University for many years. Last year, the company recruited more than 5,000 college students, and this year, the number of recruits is only 1000. Moreover, in previous years, recruitment was not limited to majors, but this year, the threshold was significantly improved, not only the number of people was greatly reduced, but also only students with corresponding majors were recruited. Liu Yueping said that for a long time, the strict quality management of self-study exams has won a high social reputation. Facing the new employment situation, our self-taught graduates should establish the belief of self-confidence, self-improvement and self-reliance, and win the respect of society and people with their practical ability and work performance.
