Brief introduction of Beijing-Zhuhai North Expressway

The northern section of Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway in Guangdong Province, referred to as Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway for short [1], is an important part of Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway, one of the original trunk lines in China, and now it is the northern section of Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway in Guangdong Province. The line is located at the northern end of Guangdong, connecting Hunan Leiyi Expressway in the north and Guangshao Expressway in the south, passing through 2 1 towns such as Lechang, Ruyuan, Qujiang and Shaoguan, with a total length of 109.93 km and an estimated investment of 5.656 billion yuan. Because of its harsh natural environment and high risk, it is called "the most challenging expressway project in China". The road section is designed as a two-way four-lane road. According to the terrain along the highway, the technical standards of expressways in hilly areas and mountainous areas are adopted in sections. The design speed is 65,438+000 km and 80 km respectively. 1998 started construction and was completed and opened to traffic on April 3, 2003. It has become the Tongshan Expressway with the longest mileage, the largest investment and the most difficult construction in China.
