Two counties in Tonghua City, Jilin Province are expected to "merge", namely Liuhe County and meihekou city. Liuhe County is located in the north of Tonghua City with a population of about 400,000. Liuhe County enjoys convenient transportation, with Huilin Expressway and Shuangji Expressway running through the north and south. In addition, Meijia Railway has an intermediate station in the county. Liuhe County is one of the important commodity grain base counties in China.

Tonghua is a prefecture-level city in the south of Jilin Province, bordering baishan city in the east, Liaoning Province in the west, Liaoyuan City and Jilin City in the north. Tonghua is an important transportation hub and economic center in the southeast of Jilin Province, and has the reputation of China Medical City. Tonghua covers an area of 15698 square kilometers, and governs 2 districts, 3 counties and 2 county-level cities. With the development of urban economy, the trend of merger between cities is becoming more and more obvious. This is not only reflected in big cities, but also in small counties.
