Lishu County No.1 Senior High School, referred to as Lishu No.1 Middle School for short, was founded in 1959 and is one of the first 83 key high schools in Jilin Province. As of May 20 18, the school has a campus area of 64,000 square meters, a building area of more than 40,000 square meters, more than 4,000 students, 70 teaching classes and 3 1 1 staff.

The school has two teaching buildings, north and south, with advanced facilities, including provincial standard physics and chemistry laboratory, language lab, electronic lesson preparation room, standardized microcomputer room and more than 350 microcomputers. There are also 12 multimedia lecture halls and multimedia classrooms, each with a TV set, which can fully meet the teaching needs.

In addition, a campus broadcasting system and a campus closed-circuit television system have been established, and a new campus TV station and a campus network system have been built, realizing modern teaching and management.

In 2006, the school built a new science and technology experimental building and library with an area of 5,000 square meters, and a student canteen with an area of 2,000 square meters, which will be managed by computer and can serve 2,000 people at the same time, with rich nutrition and 20 dishes for each meal.

In terms of accommodation, independent apartments for boys and girls have been realized, and high-standard student dormitories with an area of 8,000 square meters have been built. Four rooms, six rooms and eight rooms have indoor toilets, which meet the different needs of students and parents.

There are 289 in-service teachers in Lishu No.1 Middle School, including 79 senior teachers and 0/27 intermediate teachers. They are young, knowledgeable, experienced, skilled in teaching and dedicated, and most of them have rich experience in high school teaching and college entrance examination guidance.
