Moutai College (in preparation) will be located in Guojiu Community, Maotai Town, Renhuai City, Guizhou Province, a new city in the south of Renhuai City. The land acquisition work of Maotai University (in preparation) in the Xincheng Education Science and Technology Park in southern Renhuai City is in full swing. The application report for the establishment of Maotai University has been reviewed by the Provincial University Establishment Review Expert Group, approved by the Provincial Government, and officially submitted to the Ministry of Education by the Provincial Government. The Ministry of Education has organized evaluation experts from colleges and universities across the country to conduct on-site evaluations in November 2013.

As for the faculty of the college, the first batch of 12 academic leaders recruited from well-known universities across the country in related professional disciplines with the brewing industry as the core have been admitted to Renhuai in early September 2013 after passing interviews and defenses. The experts have received a three-day pre-job training from Kweichow Moutai Group. Ji Keliang, honorary chairman of Moutai Group, gave lectures to the first batch of introduced experts. Experts will participate in the recruitment of the second and third batches of key teachers, subject construction planning, professional setting demonstration, teaching syllabus and teaching management system construction, teaching equipment configuration and procurement, laboratory planning and construction, etc.

The college’s development goal is to train more than 50% of the country’s top executives in the brewing industry by the 50th anniversary of its founding.
