What universities are there in Hainan?

Hainan University, referred to as "Haida" for short, is a 2 1 1 key engineering university in Hainan Province. It is also the only university with 2 1 1. Established by the People's Government of Hainan Province and the Ministry of Finance, it is a comprehensive key university in Hainan Province and a key university supported by the "National First-class University Construction" in Hainan Province. In 20 17, it was selected as a "world-class discipline construction university". The school was founded on 1958. Later, South China University of Tropical Agriculture and the former Hainan University merged into the new Hainan University in 2007.

2. Hainan Normal University

Hainan Normal University, referred to as Hainan Normal University and Shihai University for short, is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Hainan Province, and is a key university in Hainan Province. It is a full-time undergraduate school that recommends outstanding fresh graduates to study for graduate students without trial. 1999 merged with Hainan Education College to establish a new Hainan Normal College. In 2007, it was renamed Hainan Normal University.

3. Hainan Medical College

Hainan Medical College is located in Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province. It is the first batch of national excellent doctoral education and training program pilot universities, the first batch of professional comprehensive reform undergraduate colleges and the first batch of educational informatization pilot units. The school originated from 1947 private Haiqiang Advanced Medical Technology School and private Hainan University Medical College founded by 1948. The two universities were merged into Hainan Medical College in1951(1977-1979 experimental undergraduate education), and later renamed Hainan Medical College. Hainan Medical College may be renamed Hainan Medical University in recent years.
