As the historical witness of Zhoucun's commercial prosperity, the ancient commercial streets such as Avenue, Xiushui Street and Yinzi Street are well preserved. Zhoucun silk culture has a long history. Historically, it was known as the "hometown of silk" with mulberries all over the countryside, every family raised silkworms, heard the sound of machines step by step, and every family weaved silks and satins. Zhoucun is rich in human resources and profound in cultural heritage. Pu Songling, the world-famous king of short stories, once taught in Zhoucun Summer Palace for 33 years, during which he created a famous collection of short stories, Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio. Folk arts such as Zhoucun Lantern Festival, folk drama and Wuyin Opera are deeply loved by the people. The representative project of folk drama "Zhoucunxin" has been declared as a provincial intangible cultural heritage. The story of the TV series "Big Dyeing Workshop", which was once popular on CCTV, took place in Zhoucun, and another TV series "Dry Wharf" reflecting the commercial development history of Zhoucun is about to start shooting.
