6. Wuguniang Theme Park

brief introduction

The legend of five girls

There is a true love story circulating in Xitang. In the late Qing Dynasty, five girls, the hostess of Yangjiadi in Dong Tang village, fell in love with Xu Atian, a long-term worker, who was opposed by her half-brother and persecuted to death. Later, her love story was compiled into Tian Ge, where it was sung for more than one hundred years. The musical Five Girls, adapted from Jiashan Tian Ge, won the Wenhua Award in the 7th China Arts Festival.

The unique tile pavilion is a tile pavilion specially burned by Xu Atian when he was a kiln worker to express his unique love for the five girls. There is a bell hanging in the pavilion, engraved with the scene where the two of them met here and the words of love at first sight.

About "Tian Ge"

Tian Ge, a rural folk song handed down from Xitang folk, is still sung in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, and it is a valuable local music cultural heritage in China. In particular, the musical "Five Girls" adapted by Xitang Tian Ge won the Wenhua Award at the 7th China International Art Festival. 1954, the late Yue Opera creator Gu adapted the Yue Opera Five Girls, which was performed by Zhejiang Yue Opera Troupe. Xia Yan (a famous playwright) enjoyed the play very much, especially wrote an article in People's Daily, and gave a high evaluation.

According to the folk story of "Five Girls", a theme park with the characteristics of Xitang water town and human history was built at the entrance of the west line of the ancient town Xitang, covering an area of 3,000 square meters, including a statue of Five Girls, a single tile pavilion and a water stage.

8. Drunk Garden

Songzi Laifeng Bridge 10

Songzi Laifeng Bridge, built in the Ming Dynasty, is the absolute C-hole stone bridge in the ancient town of Tang Xi, and it is the first pier of the ancient town.
