Geographical environment of Weihai Lingang Economic and Technological Development Zone

Weihai Lingang Economic and Technological Development Zone is located in the south of Weihai city and the center of Weihai urban agglomeration. The total area of the jurisdiction is 297 square kilometers, and the planned construction land area is 78 square kilometers.

In 2006, it was approved by Shandong Provincial People's Government and reported to the State Council for the record. It is planned to establish Weihai Lingang District in Wangtuan Town, Yaoshan Town and Caomiaozi Town, which will be directly managed by Weihai City.

On April 29th, 2008, Weihai New Industrial Zone was formally established.

In 20 13, with the approval of the State Council, Weihai New Industrial Zone was upgraded to a national economic and technological development zone, named Weihai Lingang Economic and Technological Development Zone.

Weihai Lingang Economic and Technological Development Zone is a new industrial city planned and constructed by Weihai Municipal Government.

Relying on the industrial advantages of Weihai and Shandong Peninsula, and taking the industrial new city as the development orientation, Weihai Lingang Economic and Technological Development Zone has planned several development blocks:

Weihai Lingang Economic and Technological Development Zone focuses on developing industries such as electronic information, electromechanical equipment, automobiles and parts, medicine and food, and new materials. A number of top enterprises in the same industry at home and abroad, such as Triangle Stock, Development Fiber, TAG Heuer, Kaitai Sporting Goods, David Group, china glass, United Metals, DASA CNC and Weibei Group, have settled in the new district.

While improving urban functions, we will focus on building a service platform for manufacturing development. The financial and commercial service area has formed a gathering of three major service functions, namely, a public service center where administrative and other social service institutions gather, a production service center where various productive service institutions gather, and a life service center consisting of residence, catering, leisure, entertainment, shopping, education and medical care.
