Article 2 These Measures shall apply to the administration of place names within the administrative area of this Municipality. Article 3 The names mentioned in these Measures specifically include:

(six) the names of airports, ports, docks, railways, highway stations, lines, long-distance passenger stations and freight hub stations. , with the meaning of place names or the function of indicating places;

(7) Names of buildings, structures, doors, building signs, etc. , with place name meaning or pointing function;

(eight) other names that have the meaning of geographical names or reference functions. Article 4 The place names named and renamed in accordance with these Measures shall follow the historical evolution, maintain cultural inheritance and be relatively stable, and no unit or individual may change them without authorization.

Important matters and major decisions involving public interests, city image and reflecting the historical and cultural characteristics of the city in the management of place names should be widely solicited from all walks of life and the public. Article 5 The management of place names shall be under unified leadership and be responsible at different levels.

The municipal civil affairs department is the administrative department in charge of the management of place names in this Municipality, and is responsible for the unified supervision and management of place names.

The civil affairs department of the people's government at the county level shall be responsible for the management of place names within its jurisdiction.

The planning department is responsible for coordinating the civil affairs departments to plan the names of roads, residential quarters, buildings and other building entities, and approving the construction planning projects named after the local civil affairs departments.

The public security department is responsible for coordinating the civil affairs department to do a good job in compiling and using the building number. (1) Place names that are detrimental to national territorial sovereignty and national dignity, contain ethnic discrimination, are not conducive to national unity, are insulting and vulgar, and violate national laws and regulations must be renamed;

(two) does not meet the provisions of article sixth (three), (four), (five), (six), (seven) and (eight) of these measures, it shall be renamed;

(three) the establishment, merger and adjustment of administrative divisions at all levels need to be renamed, which shall be handled in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state administration of administrative divisions;
