What's the difference between a farm and a branch of Beidahuang Group?

There is not much difference. For example, Baoquanling Branch can be called Baoquanling Branch. Of course, besides some farms, branches also refer to some companies other than agriculture. For example, Wandashan Dairy, a subsidiary of Beidahuang Group, is a dairy branch.

The predecessor of Beidahuang Group was Heilongjiang Frontier Reclamation Corps, and later it was changed into a state-owned farm because of the need of political and economic form after the border was stabilized. Beidahuang Group is the head office of a state-owned farm, and is also the head of each farm in Heilongjiang Province. Branches refer to subordinate administrative departments and farms.
