What procedures do Buddhists need to become monks?

Choose to teach yourself Buddhist common sense, learn the basic knowledge of Buddhism first, and then learn the master lecture. If you know nothing about Buddhism, no temple will accept it.

Devote oneself to Buddhism. If you are not a devout Buddhist, no temple will accept it. Whether you are a devout Buddhist or not, the mage can tell at a glance.

See for yourself if you have the conditions to become a monk. There are some basic conditions for becoming a monk: no marriage, no lawsuit, no debt, good health, no disability, vegetarian, able to abide by Buddhist precepts, not too old (because the temple has a heavy burden of providing for the elderly) and so on.

When you are ready, go to the guest room of the temple with your ID card and explain your desire to become a monk to the staff. If you meet the requirements of becoming a monk, the temple will generally wait for 1 year before it is officially shaved.
