Introduction to Dongyuan Town

Dongyuan Town, Hui’an County, Fujian Province is located on the north shore of Quanzhou Bay and is the central area of ??Quanzhou Taiwanese Investment Zone. It governs 17 administrative villages and 69 natural villages, with a land area of ??43.5 square kilometers and a total population of 72,600. There are 53,600 residents (including 53,600 permanent residents and 19,000 foreign residents), and the coastline is 9.4 kilometers long. There are more than 100,000 overseas Chinese in the town. Ethnic distribution and population situation: The ethnic groups in the town are classified into Han and Hui, of which the Hui population is about 850, mainly distributed in the four administrative villages of Changxin, Yangguang, Dongyuan and Langshan. It is one of the famous hometowns of overseas Chinese in southern Fujian.
