What are the requirements for recruiting trainers in aquariums and zoos?

The conditions for the five grades of trainers are divided as follows:

(1) mainly

1) Understand the biological characteristics, living habits, feeding methods and animal training knowledge of aquatic mammals.

2) Be able to use basic skills to independently complete routine work such as feeding, environmental maintenance, training and performance (basic and repetitive training and command action training), capture and transfer.

(2) Intermediate level

1) Understand the classification and basic knowledge of physiology of aquatic mammals, basic knowledge of animal training and common knowledge of feed preparation.

2) Be able to skillfully use basic skills to independently complete routine work such as feeding, environmental maintenance, training and performance (animal daily movement training and performance), capture and transfer; Animals can be cared for according to different seasons, different growth stages and different breeding periods; Ability to cooperate with others.

(3) advanced

1) Understand the general theoretical knowledge of aquatic mammals' physiology, reproduction and animal training, and be familiar with the professional knowledge of catching, transferring, feeding, training and performance of raised animals.

2) Be able to skillfully use basic skills and professional skills and independently complete the work of this position; Can organize the capture and transportation of animals; Can complete the training, performance and adjustment of animal social relations between a single animal and a stage combination; Can train new animals; Ability to organize performance activities; Can cooperate with the veterinarian to organize relevant personnel to carry out epidemic prevention, disinfection, isolation and nursing during the epidemic; Can summarize the experience of feeding work; Ability to demonstrate operation and impart skills to junior and intermediate personnel.

(4) technical personnel

1) Master the taxonomy, physiology and animal training theory of aquatic mammals.

2) Be able to have the professional knowledge of feeding aquatic mammals and systematically summarize the feeding experience; Can regulate animal social relations, can design a complete animal training behavior and stage performance plan; Can guide and train junior, middle and senior personnel; Have certain technical business management ability.

(5) Senior technician

1) systematically master the theory of aquatic mammals, and master the latest technologies and achievements in breeding, training, reproduction and disease prevention of aquatic mammals at home and abroad.

2) be able to skillfully use special skills and specialties to complete complex and unconventional work in various fields of this major; Able to solve difficult technical or business problems; Evaluate the ability of technicians to work; Be able to organize and carry out technological innovation activities; Be able to manage technical business systematically; Be able to organize and carry out systematic professional and technical training; Ability to communicate professionally in foreign languages.
